Things are looking more positive for the Stargate Franchise!

Many are keeping a eye on SGU's Joesph Mallozzi's (executive producer) blog, in his recent entry he has hinted that things could be looking more positive for the future of SGU.  In this blog entry he has answered a few of the fan's quesitions:

Abbas Karimjee writes: “Is the possibility of continuing SGU, in movie format, being considered or all efforts currently being devoted to reviving it as a series, for a third season?”
Answer: All options are being considered at this point, but a third season would be ideal.
Abbas Karimjee also writes: “Do you have an idea as to when some further developments on SGU’s future will be known?”
Answer: No, but “positive progress” could be made as early as next week

Stargate Atlantis Season 5 Companion??

Titan Publishing have cancelled the Official Stargate Magazine, but have they cancelled a season 5 companion for Stargate Atlantis as well?  There has been a official companion for each season from SG1 and Atlantis up to Atlantis season 4.  Maybe we need to make it known that there is a market for one?  Will there be one for Stargate Universe?

Complete Stargate Atlantis Guide

I nearly missed a recent article in Sci Fi Now Magazine #49!  Includes quite a few pages dedicated to Stargate Atlantis called the 'Complete Guide to Stargate Atlantis'.  I don't think it includes anything that a fan wouldn't already know, but its nice to see the show hasn't been forgotten.

New Stargate Universe Fan Campaign!

Fans of Stargate Universe are fighting to save the show after Syfy cancelled SGU after its second season.  Since the cancellation many fans have created petitions, fan pages and campaigns.  The latest campaign 'Share the SGU love' involves sending valentine's day cards to the executives in charge at MGM studios.  The hope is that fans all around the world will show their love for SGU and the Stargate franchise and that MGM will notice the size of the fan base and find a new network to air a 3rd season of SGU.  You don't even have to buy your own valetine's cards, there are postcard style images that you can print and send easily, with the address already on them!  Click here for more info and the postcards!
